Hi. I would like to have the hardware for my clawfoot tub refinished. Need the handles, drains, pipes etc. re-plated with chrome or brass. Looked in the net and was very expensive to have done professionally by a company that specializes in the area ,(over 1K) ug... have a budget to work in. Any ideas or thoughts for replating? Thanks for the input.

I have a rather large (floor to ceiling) vintage styled bath tub with quite a few shelves built into the side. It is a bright turquoise. I was wondering how much, average, it would cost to refinish it white professionally and for DIY.

Have you ever used Rust-Oleum's Tub and Tile Refinishing Kit?
What were your experiences? I tried using Krylons "Fusion" with poor results. Surface is now mottled and flaking. Please advise on how to update guest tub.

Did you feel you saved money by have your old tub covered rather than buying a new one? How much did the finished product-service cost you? Are you happy with the results? Has it retained its refinished look? What company did you use?
